- Location: In The heart of Djanet, explore the Tassili n’Ajjer (UNESCO, famous for its thousands of prehistoric rock paintings) and the Tadrart Rouge, renowned for its spectacular red dunes and monumental arches.

- Accommodation: Saharan bivouacs under tents and nights under the stars (mattress, blankets, tents provided).

- Crossing the In Djaren wadi up to the majestic site of Téhé Tahoussaït (impressive natural arches)
- Continuation toward the beautiful dunes of Moul N’Aga
- Dinner and overnight in a bivouac
- Hike across the dunes of Moul N’Aga
- Discovery of In Zaouaten and the rock art site of Tin Tikel
- Arrival at In Tehak
- Overnight in a bivouac
Day 5 — Wednesday, November 12, 2025
- Departure for Tin Merzouga, the highest point of the Tadrart dunes
- Sunset with glowing red colors
- Night in a magical bivouac
- Drive to Imesnegha and its wind-polished caves
- Lunch in the desert
- Progressive return through the In Djaren wadi to Adjalati (exit of the Tadrart)
- Overnight in a bivouac
Day 6 — Thursday, November 13, 2025
- Return to Djanet via the Imaharhaten plateau
- Visit of the famous engraving “The Crying Cow” in Tégharghart
- Free time to explore the town, local market, and handicrafts
- Check-in at the lodge, shower, and well-deserved rest
Day 7 — Friday, November 14, 2025
- Transfer to the airport
- Flight Djanet → Algiers at 02:00

The price of this trip to Djanet is calculated based on a minimum of 6 participants.
The price includes
- 4×4 vehicle
- Transfer from Djanet to the Tadrart by 4×4 over 180 km (130 km paved road and 50 km track)
- Bivouac equipment (tent, mattress, pillow, and blanket provided)
- Full board: cold meals at lunch, hot meals in the evening, with a cook and an assistant cook
- Unlimited mineral water
- Accommodation in a guesthouse for the final night, with shower and rest

A visa is mandatory for foreign nationals, but thanks to the visa-on-arrival procedure for Djanet and Tamanrasset, you no longer need to visit any consulate or embassy.
The visa-on-arrival process is handled entirely by your travel agency. As soon as you make your booking, the agency takes care of all the necessary formalities.
Forms and Documentation
- At the time of booking, your agency will send you a form to fill out.
- Complete the form and return it to the agency along with a scan of your passport.
Processing by the Agency
The agency submits the completed form and a copy of your passport to the Algerian Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts.
You will then receive a confirmation in the form of a “laisser-passer”, usually within 15 days.
At Check-In
Present your laisser-passer when boarding. This document is required for check-in and entry into the country.
Upon Arrival in Algeria
You will be asked to present the following:
- Your laisser-passer
- Payment for the visa: €96 or 14,000 Algerian dinars (cash payment; euros generally accepted — amount subject to change)
- A bank identity statement or proof of income (such as payslip, tax certificate, or retirement certificate)
- Your round-trip plane ticket
- Your repatriation insurance certificate
Visa Issuance
Once all steps are completed, a visa will be affixed to your passport, allowing you to begin your trip to Djanet or Tamanrasset.
Simplified Visa on Arrival
- The travel agency provides a document allowing you to board without a visa.
- Upon arrival in Algeria, you will receive a “regularization visa” for the duration of your stay.
- No visa is issued by Algerian consulates abroad; it is delivered directly upon arrival.
- A scanned copy of the passport’s first page and a completed, signed form are required.
Climate and Regional Information
- On the coast: hot summers (average 29°C in Algiers in August) and mild winters (average 15°C in January).
- Central mountain regions experience harsh winters and mild springs.
- The Sahara has an arid desert climate, with temperatures reaching up to 50°C in summer.
Site Protection
- Desert regions have a fragile ecological balance.
- Participants are responsible for keeping the sites clean.
- It is recommended to use a lighter or matches to burn natural waste.
- Non-degradable items (plastic, glass, metal) must be taken back to France.
- Everyone contributes to protecting these natural areas from pollution.
