This 4x4 adventure, interspersed with trekking stages, invites you to immerse yourself in the heart of the magnificent Sahara Desert. Wander through spectacular landscapes and explore ancient Neolithic engravings and paintings, silent witnesses of a bygone era. You'll also have the opportunity to uncover the mysteries of the Tadrart Rouge, a fascinating region with colorful reliefs and unique rock formations. In the Tadrart Rouge, let yourself be captivated by the beauty of the red sand dunes glowing under the desert sun, an unforgettable experience to cherish more than once.
Day 1: Djanet
- Arrival at Tisska Djanet Airport.
- Welcome by our Tuareg team.
- Transfer to Taghen, lunch with Tuareg tea, followed by sunset observation.
- Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Djanet – Elberdj
- Breakfast, then departure by 4×4 to Tadrart.
- Visit Tin Essou site with its rock engravings.
- Lunch break, then continue to Elberdj.
- Settlement at the camp, exploration of the landscapes.
- Overnight in bivouac.
Day 3: Elberdj – Moula Naga
- Discover rock engravings from the Bubaline period.
- Explore rocks with various shapes, including the Hedgehog Rock.
- Arrival at Erg Tin Merzouga and its red dunes.
- Sunset and musical evening.
- Bivouac at the foot of the dune.
Day 4: Tin Merzouga
- Crossing of Oued Indjaren, admiration of rock engravings and paintings.
- Explore the dune world with impressive colors and heights.
- Arrival at Moula Naga bivouac site.
- Overnight in bivouac.
Day 5: Moula Naga – Adjalati
- Crossing Oued In Djaren in all-terrain vehicle.
- Observation of sculpted cliffs with their rock engravings and paintings.
- Discover the impressive arches of Tadrart.
- Bivouac at the north exit of Tadrart.
Day 6: Adjalati-Adhayek
- Arrival at Adhayek in the afternoon.
- Dinner, traditional evening with the Tuaregs.
- Overnight in bivouac.
Day 7: Adhayek – Djanet – Teghrghrt
- Arrival in Djanet around 2:00 PM, time for a shower.
- Visit Djanet and the “Crying Cow” engraving site.
- Dinner, then transfer to the airport at 10:00 PM.
The price includes:
- Airport assistance by our team in Djanet
- Transfer by 4×4 vehicle
- Baggage transport (bags carried by donkeys throughout the trip)
- Full board meals (breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner)
- 6 nights camping under the stars with all necessary equipment
- Local Tuareg guide throughout the tour

- A visa is mandatory for foreign nationals, but with this visa on arrival procedure for Djanet and Tamanrasset, you no longer need to visit consulates or embassies.
- The visa on arrival procedure is managed by your travel agency. Upon booking, the agency handles all necessary formalities for you.
Form and Documentation:
- At the time of booking, your agency will send you a form to fill out.
- Complete this form and return it to the agency along with a scanned copy of your passport.
Processing by the Agency:
The agency submits the completed form and a photocopy of your passport to the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts in Algeria. You will then receive a confirmation in the form of a “let pass”, typically within 15 days.
During Check-in:
Present your let pass to board. This document is essential for check-in and entry into the country.
Upon Arrival in Algeria:
You will need to present the following documents:
- Your pass.
- Pay the visa fee: €96 or 14,000 Algerian dinars. Payment can be made in cash, with the option of euros (prices subject to change).
- A bank statement or proof of income (such as a pay slip, tax assessment, or retirement certificate).
- Your round-trip airline ticket.
- Your repatriation insurance certificate.
Affixing the visa:
Once these steps are completed, a visa will be affixed to your passport, allowing you to begin your journey to Djanet or Tamanrasset.
