1st DAY:
- Welcome of visitors at Aguenar Tamanrasset Airport.
- Departure towards the Assekrem plateau, north of Tamanrasset via the East track.
- Stops at various sites including the gaseous spring of Tahabort, the water point of Imlaoulaouène with rock engravings, the volcanic mountain Akar-Akar, the water point Afilal, and the volcanic peaks of Tizouyadj.
- Hiking ascent to the Assekrem pass.
- Guided tour of the Hermitage of Father de Foucauld.
- Panoramic sunset viewing and bivouac at the foot of Assekrem.
2nd DAY:
- Sunrise admiration at the Tizouyadj peaks.
- Departure towards Hirafok, passing through the Imadouzène crater and other sites.
- Bivouac in the Hirafok riverbed.
3rd DAY:
- Departure towards the village of Mertoutek in the heart of Tefedest.
- Bivouac near the Mertoutek river.
4th DAY:
- Visit to paintings and rock engravings from the bovidian era.
- Return to camp for an overnight bivouac.
5th DAY:
- Return to Tamanrasset via the village of Tite.
- Visit to Tamanrasset city and souvenir shopping.
- Departure to Aguenar Tamanrasset Airport.
This program is available from October to May, allowing you to choose dates that suit you. By contacting the travel agency, they will consider your availability and propose dates that align with Air Algérie flight schedules between Algiers and Djanet, ensuring smooth organization.
Note: The price displayed is for a group of 3 to 10 people.
The price varies depending on the group size: as the number of people increases, the cost per person decreases, and vice versa.
The price includes:
- Transport in a 4×4 vehicle for the entire circuit.
- All meals included: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea (herbal teas and teas), dinner with traditional dishes, mineral water, fruits, blankets, cushions, and mattresses for outdoor comfort.
- Tuareg guide and assistance throughout the circuit.
The price does not include:
- International or national flight tickets.
- Hotel overnight stay for late arrivals, at 35 euros per night (only if arrival is too late to reach the Sahara directly).
- Tent rental for 2000 DA for the entire circuit.
- Personal sleeping bag, recommended for your comfort.
- Tips
- A visa is mandatory for foreign nationals, but with this visa on arrival procedure for Djanet and Tamanrasset, you no longer need to visit consulates or embassies.
- The visa on arrival procedure is managed by your travel agency. Upon booking, the agency handles all necessary formalities for you.
Form and Documentation:
- At the time of booking, your agency will send you a form to fill out.
- Complete this form and return it to the agency along with a scanned copy of your passport.
Processing by the Agency:
The agency submits the completed form and a photocopy of your passport to the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts in Algeria. You will then receive a confirmation in the form of a “let pass”, typically within 15 days.
During Check-in:
Present your let pass to board. This document is essential for check-in and entry into the country.
Upon Arrival in Algeria:
You will need to present the following documents:
- Your pass.
- Pay the visa fee: €96 or 14,000 Algerian dinars. Payment can be made in cash, with the option of euros (prices subject to change).
- A bank statement or proof of income (such as a pay slip, tax assessment, or retirement certificate).
- Your round-trip airline ticket.
- Your repatriation insurance certificate.
Affixing the visa:
Once these steps are completed, a visa will be affixed to your passport, allowing you to begin your journey to Djanet or Tamanrasset.
Level of the circuit: Easy, Moderate, Difficult – According to your preference
Easy: Choose a comfortable circuit with 4×4 travel, allowing easy access to picturesque sites without intense physical effort. Note that for specific historical sites, some hiking may be necessary as they are not accessible by 4×4.
Moderate: Opt for a mix of transportation modes, combining 4×4 trips, shorter walks, and possibly camel rides for a diverse experience that requires a bit more endurance.
Difficult: Challenge yourself with a demanding circuit featuring hiking through varied terrains. Ideal for adventure and trekking enthusiasts seeking total immersion in local nature and culture.
