This 5-day circuit takes you to the heart of one of the most fascinating regions of the Algerian Sahara: the Ihrir oasis and Tassili n'Ajjer. From the natural arch of Tikoubaouine to the turquoise guelta of Issendilène, each day reveals a unique landscape. The prehistoric rock engravings of Tigharghart — including the famous "Crying Cow" — bear witness to an exceptionally rich ancient civilisation.

First Overnight Stay – Flight and Arrival in Djanet

  • Flight Algiers – Djanet departing 22:00, arriving 00:25

Day 1 – The Arch of Tikoubaouine

  • Breakfast at the bivouac
  • Departure towards Tikoubaouine and its iconic natural rock arch

Day 2 – Issendilène Canyon and the Guelta

How does the visa on arrival work?

A visa is required for foreign nationals, but thanks to the visa-on-arrival procedure for Djanet and Tamanrasset, you no longer need to visit a consulate or embassy.

The visa-on-arrival process is handled by your travel agency. From the moment you book, the agency takes care of all the necessary formalities.

Form and Documentation:
• At the time of booking, your agency will send you a form to fill in.
• Complete this form and return it to the agency along with a scan of your passport.

Agency Processing: The agency submits the completed form and a copy of your passport to Algeria's Ministry of Tourism and Crafts. You will then receive a confirmation in the form of a "laissez-passer", usually within 15 days.

At Check-in: Present your laissez-passer to board. This document is essential for check-in and entry into the country.

On Arrival in Algeria, you will need to present the following:
• Your laissez-passer.
• Pay the visa fee: €96 or 14,000 Algerian dinars.
• A bank statement or proof of financial resources.
